Meet William Tanner – Attorney, Real Estate Broker, and Property Law Educator

William Tanner has practiced law since 1994, bringing more than three decades of dedicated experience to real estate and civil litigation matters. Licensed by the State Bar of California and also a licensed real estate broker through the California Bureau of Real Estate, he combines legal precision with practical brokerage insight—giving clients a powerful advantage in property disputes.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Tanner teaches property law and related courses at prestigious institutions, including the University of California, Irvine (since 1996), Coastline Community College, and others. This ongoing academic role keeps him current on evolving laws, case precedents, and best practices, ensuring clients receive informed, up-to-date counsel.

Mr. Tanner’s career began after earning his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He has helped thousands of clients resolve title clouds, co-ownership conflicts, contract breaches, and more—often through efficient negotiation or targeted litigation when needed.
